New Publication in Our AI Special Issue
We are excited to share a newly published study exploring the intersection of AI, social networks, and large-scale online learning
Addressing the growing challenges of information overload and learner isolation in MOOCs, this paper introduces HIN-SR, an advanced recommendation model that combines heterogeneous graph neural networks with innovative dual social regularisation. By jointly modeling trust relationships and learner influence within complex educational networks, the approach captures deeper social and cognitive interactions among learners.
Validated on large-scale real-world datasets (XuetangX and MOOCCube), HIN-SR demonstrates significant performance gains over state-of-the-art methods. This work highlights the transformative potential of social-aware AI in building more personalized, connected, and scalable online learning environment.
