Abstract

With the rapid development of tourism in global cultural heritage sites, the problem of declining tourist satisfaction and experience quality caused by over tourism has become increasingly prominent, which has become a key issue that needs to be solved urgently for the sustainable development of tourism destinations. Based on the field survey data of Dunhuang tourists, this study studies the influence of cultural distance, emotional attachment and tourism expectation of tourists in over-tourism destinations, analyzes the mediating effect between various variables, and divides them into three groups according to different places of residence for heterogeneity analysis. The following conclusions are drawn : tourists ' perceived cultural distance has a positive impact on tourist satisfaction ; emotional attachment plays an intermediary role in the influence of tourists ' perceived cultural distance on tourists ' satisfaction. Tourism expectation plays an intermediary role between tourists ' perceived cultural distance and tourists ' satisfaction. Tourism expectation plays an intermediary role between tourists ' perceived cultural distance and emotional attachment. Tourism expectation plays an intermediary role between tourists ' place emotional attachment and tourists ' satisfaction. There is significant regional heterogeneity in the effect of tourists ' perceived cultural distance on tourist satisfaction. There are significant regional differences in the effect of emotional attachment on tourist satisfaction. There are significant regional differences in the effect of tourism expectations on tourist satisfaction. The purpose of this paper is to provide reference for the sustainable development of the same type of over-tourism destinations in the world and Dunhuang tourism destinations through the relevant theoretical research on cultural distance, emotional attachment and tourism expectation.
