Abstract

The arrival of the age of digital intelligence signifies the increasingly important role of artificial intelligence (AI) in driving change in higher education. The incorporation of AI technology improves the efficiency of teaching and learning and facilitates fundamental changes in the mode, content, and management of education. This paper discusses the application of AI in personalized learning path design, intelligent tutoring systems, virtual labs, and course content development, and analyzes the challenges and countermeasures of technology access and equality, data privacy and security, education quality and AI dependency, and resistance to changing the traditional education system.
